The Al-Ula Rock is an interactive pillar, part of a massive stage set designed by Giò Forma and Black Engineering to celebrate the Saudi Vision 20-30 at the Maraya Concert Hall of Al-Ula.
The ambitious socio-economic plans that Saudi will achieve within the next ten years and the beauty of local UNESCO heritage sites were conveyed in a big show with the KSA Crown Prince as a guest of honor.
The Al-Ula Rock is made of two parts, a stand with an empty squared seat and an interactive silver tile that takes the backlit engraving of the National palm emblem. When the tile gets placed in its seat, the stand slowly moves down disappearing in the rock while the palm's LED glow creates an animated climax of light.
By handling the interactive pillar, the Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman itself triggered the main light, and projection mapping show on the stage becoming the author of the night highlight.
