ABOUT

We’re nerdy folk who love jam sessions but also appreciate a structured orchestra concert every now and again. We welcome explorers, wandering souls and curious minds with a “Let’s do it” attitude.

The story of Leva begins in 2015, when Matteo and Gabriele met at the Polytechnic University of Turin. They were two engineering students obsessed with mechatronics, user experience design and creative technologies.

Two different personalities, united by the same forces living in their minds: one creative and one rigorous, both driven by an obsessive need to design tangible, fantastic things.

What followed were years of late nights of code and prototypes that led to strange and beautiful things.

Inspired by biomimicry, digital manufacturing, prototyping, computer animation, creative coding: every idea was a chance to merge logic and poetry.

This tension between imagination and precision became the spark of their partnership, that later became Leva Engineering.

Nowadays Leva is a place where creativity and engineering go hand in hand, where engineers dream and designers calculate, where technical precision merges with the magic of storytelling and where strong skills are matched only by even stronger values.

From our studio in Turin, Italy, we envision, design and manufacture mechatronics and interactive installations that inspire awe and create moments of suspension of disbelief.

Our work blends creativity, engineering and storytelling to shape meaningful experiences all around the world, from Mumbai to Seattle and from France to Saudi Arabia.

Our goal? To create experiences that awaken curiosity, spark wonder, and inspire participation, ultimately reshaping the way people think, feel, and connect with each other.

These are the people making impossible engineering happen: Matteo Mosca, Gabriele Gambotto, Marta Botta, Matteo Giuliano, Lorenzo Sciandra, Elena Falomo, Thierry Fornetti, Simone Marchisio, Marco Truffa Giachet, Michela Marzaloni, Tatiana Barletta, Jessica Salvi, Luca Passerella, Annalisa Digrandi, Arianna Rattazzi, Federico Nada, Thomas Antoniou, Andrea Carrara, Enrico Saccone, Alessandra Martina, Andrea Peluso, Fabio Franchino, Andrea Bulgarelli, Emilio Bondioli, Tommaso Muzzin, Lorenzo Previato, Andrea Foschiatti, Lorenzo Frigo, Tommaso Galli, Sara Fazio, Yasser Hariss, Simone Spezzigu, Giorgia Cafforio, Paolo Guria, Arthur Merklin, Hanna Kastrytsa, Kimverlyn Lim, Muhammad Hamza, Danilo Prato, Andrea Galli, Luca Boaglio, Gabriele Calabrese, Ivan Bichenko, Marzio Del Sole, Emilia Barbu, Emanuele Muzio, Elisa Paradiso, Matteo Pederzoli.

HOW WE WORK - AND PLAY

We are a team that dares, dreams and builds with meticulous attention and big ambition. And we like to have fun, because impossible engineering needs a good sense of humor and a taste for adventure.

We travel often, yet we value our moments together at our home base, from breakfast gatherings to celebratory dinners and mountain trips, creating real connection alongside all the adrenaline.

OUR VALUES

EngineerING the Impossible

No matter the technical challenge, we prioritise bespoke concepts. The hard part is on us, let’s wonder

Design FOR spatial Storytelling

Our goal is to tell stories through experiences that unfold in physical spaces, connecting audiences to the here and now.

Suspension of Disbelief

We create spaces that suspend rational judgement and open the senses to explore, listen, and connect.

Diverse Minds SEEKING BALANCE

Our essential daily fight is to embrace opposing views; thesis and antithesis within our team generate new synthesis, keeping us curious and unconventional.

Kinetic and Motion

The world pushes for easy standardisation: “wouldn’t it be easier to use a LED screen?” That’s not us. We defend our unique “kinetic” approach so that our customer work can stand out.

Friendly BUT Opinionated

We are honest, humble and transparent communicators, with an indie mindset. We’ll always point out what’s wrong in a project, no matter who’s in front of us.

Rigor and Flexibility

We love engineering processes and plans but we’re always ready for creative U-turns.

Relentless Commitment

Our job isn’t done until the job is done.

Teamwork and Accountability

We thrive on experimenting and playing together, but if Levers say they’ll do it, you can consider it done

Ambition at Every Level

We set the bar high across every aspect of the company, making excellence the standard in how we think, design, and deliver.
