Turin (Italy), Travel Required, Full-time
Be the catalyst that merges creativity with technology, turning imaginative concepts into interactive realities.
We’re looking for a cross-disciplinary innovator who excels in rapid prototyping across both software and hardware, and who can carry those prototypes through to polished, production-ready installations.
You’re equally comfortable writing code and wiring up devices – one day choreographing digital content in Unreal Engine, the next day tuning sensors or microcontrollers.
If you love pushing the boundaries of what’s possible and thrive on interdisciplinary collaboration, this role is your playground.
In this role, you will:
- Develop immersive interactive experiences using Unreal Engine (leveraging Blueprints and C++), especially to choreograph complex visuals and device behaviors in sync.
- Implement computer vision solutions in Python (e.g. OpenCV) so our installations can perceive and react to people and the environment in real time.
- Build intuitive graphical user interfaces for control and monitoring (using JavaScript, HTML/CSS) to ensure seamless interaction with our systems.
- Integrate diverse hardware and software components – from sensors and actuators to microcontrollers and PCs – into cohesive prototypes and final products.
- Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, and design teams to ensure software systems harmonize with physical components.
- Iterate on prototypes to improve reliability and polish, evolving experimental demos into robust, launch-ready installations.
- Participate in on-site installation, testing, and fine-tuning of exhibits, making sure everything runs smoothly and delivers a magical user experience.
Must-have:
- Fluency in English (C1)
- Hands-on prototyping approach with a “let’s do it” attitude
- Proven ability to bring creative tech concepts to life through working prototypes that blend hardware and software
Key skills:
- Expertise in Unreal Engine (Blueprints & C++), with a knack for choreographing interactive graphics and experiences
- Proficiency in Python for data processing and computer vision development
- Experience with JavaScript and web technologies for GUI development
- Familiarity with electronics prototyping (sensors, cameras, microcontrollers like Arduino/Raspberry Pi) and integrating them with software
- Creative problem-solving skills and an innovative mindset for tackling never-done-before challenges
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, communicating across both technical and creative domains
- Adaptability to rapidly changing project requirements and enthusiasm for learning new tools and technologies
You’ll love this role if:
- You have an insatiable curiosity for new technologies and creative experimentation.
- You get excited about turning wild ideas into tangible, working prototypes.
- You enjoy tinkering with both code and hardware – you’re as comfortable debugging software as you are wiring up a device.
- You thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment where no two projects are the same, and collaboration sparks the best ideas.
