Kinetic Face

This dynamic wall sculpture merges storytelling & movement with precision-engineered components designed to endure outdoor conditions: wonder, made to last.
This permanent kinetic installation takes the form of a giant face that animates, speaks and morphs into the mythical sorceress Morgane, to the surprise and enchantment of millions of visitors. Behind this wonder? Technology and vision: 206 custom-designed actuated modules, each driven by a linear actuator capable of a 70 cm travel range combine to form this 12-square-meter dynamic surface capable of expressing smooth, lifelike motion. This project not only required creativity and a high level of engineering – we also had to optimize the layout for the highest possible visual resolution on the installation site, while ensuring structural efficiency and ease of maintenance.
Now a permanent installation at the historical theme park of Puy du Fou in France, our Morgane is braced for outdoor conditions and perpetual spectacle. We designed the facial geometry with the average audience distance in mind, guaranteeing maximum legibility and emotional impact. Everything orchestrated by our proprietary motion control platform to create seamless movement and enchant millions of visitors. An engineering feat as well as an entertainment one, this kinetic installation is the latest expression of Leva’s ability to combine advanced technology, emotional design, and visual wonder.
