Kinetic Face
Puy Du Fou

This dynamic wall sculpture merges storytelling and movement through precision-engineered components designed to endure outdoor conditions.
This permanent kinetic installation is composed of 206 custom-designed actuated modules, each driven by a linear actuator capable of a 70 cm travel range. These modules form a 12-square-meter dynamic surface capable of expressing smooth, lifelike motion. The layout was optimized to achieve the highest possible visual resolution within the spatial constraints of the installation site, while also ensuring structural efficiency and ease of maintenance.
The facial geometry was designed in relation to the average audience distance, guaranteeing maximum legibility and emotional impact. The entire system is controlled by our proprietary motion control platform, which orchestrates the synchronized movement of each actuator with high precision and reliability, enabling complex animations and seamless integration with the show’s narrative flow.
